How long has Matt Ryan Mobile DJ Entertainment been in business?
Matt Ryan has hosted hundreds of school dances, weddings, private and corporate events since 1996. In recent years, we have expanded to include multiple DJs and sound systems.
How far in advance should I book my event?
As far in advance as possible! Most clients book our services six to eight months in advance.
I have never booked a DJ before. What happens after I decide to book Matt Ryan Mobile DJ Entertainment for my event?
After you talk with us about your event and decide to book with us, we will send a contract to you in order to guarantee the services. In some cases, a deposit may be required as well. Upon receipt of your signed contract, the date is booked. We will activiate your online planning tools immediately, which will allow you to begin inputting details about your event. As your event approaches, your entertainer will be in touch with you to discuss the final details of the event and answer any remaining questions that you may have.
Can I visit one of your upcoming performances to watch you? Do you have videos of your performances?
Out of respect for our clients' privacy, it is our policy to never record a performance or invite visitors to an event. Any still photos we may take for promotional purposes will not contain any recognizable faces. If you'd like to know more about our performances, we'd be more than happy to put you in touch with one of our previous clients (see next question).
Are references available?
Absolutely! Please either call or email us and we’d be more than happy to provide you a reference that can speak to the type of event you are looking to hold.
Can I meet my DJ before my event?
As your event nears, your entertainer will be in contact with you to plan the final details of your event. Some of our packages include a face-to-face planning meeting prior to the event. If selecting your entertainer is important to you, we offer packages that guarantee a particular DJ. Since we schedule our entertainers after each event is booked, we are unable to assign an entertainer to your event before a contract is in place.
What type of music does your library contain?
We are happy to accommodate any special music requests you have. However, our general music library contains current hits and party favorites from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. All music is radio edited and appropriate for ANY audience. If requested, a playlist can be approved prior to your event. You can search our entire music library here.
Will you match rates from other DJ companies?
We encourage you to shop around and compare our service with other companies. We believe that you will not find a better value based on what you receive for your entertainment dollar. We believe that we provide you with SUPERIOR service at competitive rates. However, if your research finds a comparable service for a lower rate, please allow us to either match that rate or explain how our services differ.
How long does it take to setup and tear down your equipment? What space requirements do you have?
Most setups can be completed in 60-90 minutes and tear down in 30 minutes. We do not charge for setup and tear down time; it is included with all of our packages. It is recommended that setup and teardown be performed before guests arrive and after they leave. We require at least one six foot table near regular 120V AC electrical outlets. We can adjust our setup to nearly any space; if you have concerns or questions, just ask.
What will your DJs wear to my event?
We can accommodate your request for attire; however, unless you specify, our dress depends on the atmosphere of the event. Our staff members are provided with company attire so that we always appear unified and professional. This attire can be matched to accommodate any event from the most informal to very elegant.
